Three baroque resin pearls — each one shaped differently because they are set by hand — are suspended on layered silver-plated chains that move independently of each other. The result is something that shifts with you: different from the front than the side, different in candlelight than in morning sun, different on Tuesday than on Saturday. It is the same piece every time, and it is never quite the same piece twice.

Baroque shapes have been prized in jewellery for centuries precisely because their irregularity communicates something that a perfectly round pearl cannot: that beauty doesn't require symmetry. Each resin pearl in Renata carries a soft translucency — light passes through rather than bouncing off, which gives the piece a warmth that hard, polished surfaces rarely achieve.

The silver-plated chains are designed to layer at different lengths, creating visual depth without weight. The necklace sits comfortably at the mid-collarbone and drapes naturally — not stiff, not heavy. The kind of piece you put on and immediately forget you're wearing, until you catch your reflection and remember.

Renata is handmade in our London studio in small batches — the exact number of pieces per run is determined by the time it takes to set each pearl correctly. When a batch is sold, we do not simply reorder. We reassess, adjust, and decide whether to make this design again. Sometimes we do. Sometimes we don't. That is what small batch means in practice.
